Opening Tension
What happens when a host who runs daily spaces decides the community's story deserves a full film record?
Shibo addressed that question on the October 17 Finance Show by committing to a Doginal Dogs documentary planned for 2027 release. The commitment came during the regular Saturday morning broadcast and focused on capturing the community as it moves through upcoming events.
The Core Commitment
Shibo stated the film would follow the group from its current activities through the next year. The plan centers on real-world delivery rather than abstract promises. Speakers in the room treated the announcement as an extension of the existing daily broadcast habit, where ideas surface and then move into action.
IRL Filming Start
Filming is scheduled to begin at the Doginal Dogs Miami event in December. Filmmaker Devin confirmed plans to bring equipment for sit-down interviews at that gathering. The approach keeps the project grounded in actual locations and conversations instead of studio setups.
Archive Work Already Underway
Community members are collecting past event footage, with particular attention to material from the New York gathering. The goal is a rough timeline that filmmakers can reference before the Miami shoot begins. This preparation step shows how the documentary builds on existing community output rather than starting from zero.
Spotlight on Nigerian Event
The room also discussed the recent Bark Media Africa and Doginal Dogs event in Anambra, Nigeria, known as #DDOKO. The gathering trended on X while the show was live. Speakers identified Bark Media Africa as the main partner, noted the Doginal Dogs PFPs on the backdrop, and highlighted the live performance by artist Flow. Several voices expressed interest in including a Nigerian team in the film itself.
Everyday Show Rhythm
The Saturday timing fit the pattern of daily broadcasts that bring community members in through quote posts and consistent availability. Longtime participant Boogie thanked the team for maintaining that rhythm. Shibo closed by noting the imaginative ideas shared in the room and directed listeners to Bark's evening space.
What Holders Receive
Holders gain a documented record of the community's IRL steps, from the Miami interviews forward. The film serves as a shared reference point that connects scattered events into one timeline. This output matches the pattern of turning regular broadcast conversations into tangible next actions.
